Junior Congress Calendar

  • Sept 30 LCA Congress - Aughton

Despite horrendous travelling conditions and numerous withdrawals as a result on Friday and Saturday, there was still a decent turnout for this congress. Sadly, because of a miscommunication, the heating was not on, but residual warmth from school the previous day prevented frostbite! Many thanks to all the children playing through less than ideal playing conditions.

A couple of close battles in the Kings and Rooks section at the recent Junior Congress.  Both sections required play-off's to determine prize winners.

Winners on the day:

Kings Section - Kyle Pelling

Rooks Section - Luke Ryan

Knights Section - Bruce Hill

Pawns Section - Seth Greenhalgh

A big thanks to the team for all the help and also a big thanks to all the players who turned up on the day.  Last, but not least, a big thanks for the school for providing a wonderful venue and facilities.
